Arcade Lab

Terms

The agreement between your family and Arcade Lab, in plain language. It applies whenever you or your kid use the site. Last updated 19 September 2026.

Who runs Arcade Lab

Arcade Lab is made by Abe Burnett and operated by Mythgate, the business behind it. Questions, refunds, and deletion requests all go to the same place: abe@abeburnett.com.

One account per family

An account belongs to one family. The grown-up holds the account and every kid on it is a profile under that account, so every kid in the family plays on the one account and each keeps their own map, shelf, and studio name.

Sharing an account outside your household, or reselling access, ends the account. If a whole classroom or club wants in, write to me and we will sort out something that fits.

The course is licensed, not sold

Your account gives your family a personal, non-transferable licence to use the quests, the Coach skill, and the rest of the course for as long as the account is active, whether or not the account pays anything. It does not transfer ownership of any of it.

You may print or copy quest pages for use inside your own household. You may not republish them, put them behind someone else's login, sell them, or use them to run a paid class.

What your kid makes is theirs

Every game they build belongs to them. Post it, sell it, put it on a website, keep it forever: none of that needs my permission.

Putting a game on the public wall gives me permission to show it there, and nothing else. They can take it down whenever they want.

Copyright

The quests, the writing, the artwork, the Coach persona, and the site itself are copyright 2026 Abe Burnett. The Coach skill is distributed for use with your own AI tool, and that use is the licence.

No scraping

Do not crawl, scrape, or bulk-download the site, and do not use it to train a model. That includes the gallery, which is full of children's work. Automated access outside the ordinary use of a browser is not allowed and is blocked when found.

AI tools

Families bring their own AI tools and use them under those tools' own terms.

The price you joined at

The price shown when your family account is created is the price that account keeps, for as long as it stays active.

The first hundred families pay nothing. A founding account is free for as long as you keep it: it does not run out, it does not turn into a paid plan, and I will not start charging it. Families who join after those hundred pay the price they were shown on the day they joined, and that price does not go up while the account stays active.

If I change what a new family pays, the change applies to accounts opened after it. It does not reach back to yours.

This is a promise about your price, not a promise that the site runs forever. What I promise and what I do not, below, is what happens if I ever have to shut Arcade Lab down.

Paying, cancelling, refunds

A founding account has nothing to cancel and nothing to renew. For a paid account, the subscription renews until you cancel, and you can cancel yourself at any time from the billing portal, linked in HQ: cancelling stops the next charge and access continues to the end of the period you already paid for.

If Arcade Lab is not what you wanted, email abe@abeburnett.com within 14 days of a charge and I will refund it in full. No form, no reason needed.

What I promise and what I do not

I promise to run the site honestly, to keep the quests working, and to answer email.

I cannot promise the site is never down, that a given AI tool behaves the way its guide describes, or that any particular game will work first time. Debugging is the course. Arcade Lab is provided as it is, and my liability is limited to what you have paid in the previous 12 months.

If I ever have to shut Arcade Lab down, I will give notice, refund the unused part of the period, and leave the quest pages readable.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, the account email hears about it before the change takes effect. The date at the top always tells you which version you are reading.
